General Information for Nannies about TSN
TSN was formed to give talented and nurturing individuals like you the opportunity to work as a full-time, live-in nanny in the New York metro area. Nannies come out for a year or more.
Many nannies at the end of their "Time in the East" have told us that this was a great experience and something they would treasure for the rest of their lives. Often they tell us that the hardest part of the job is leaving the job when it is time to get on with their own lives.
We understand.
We believe that being a nanny can be a lot of fun and a growth experience. We also believe that nannies are professionals who deserve to be treated like professionals. You will find that our placement and post placement service and our career counseling are aimed at helping nannies develop as real professionals.
Tri-State Nannies is a full service nanny agency, placing full time nannies in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.
Normally, a new nanny will earn $325 to $375 per week, and experienced nannies even more. Nannies receive airfare to and from the job, free room and board, paid vacations and holidays, and use of a car.
Typically, the nanny will be responsible for the care of one to three children and light housecleaning. The actual salary will reflect the number and ages of children, and the specific experience and responsibilities of the nanny.
All TSN services are free to the nanny.
There is no fee for registering, placement or career counseling. Our costs are covered by the referral fee paid by the host family at the time of placement.When you register with us by submitting a completed application, we will talk to your references and conduct background investigation, package your credentials and present them to prospective employers, provide advice on salary and terms, provide career counseling, ongoing support, and we will be here after the placement to help you enjoy your nanny experience.
