The TSN nanny code

Attention Families: All nannies registering with TSN agree to abide by the TSN Nanny Code. Its purpose is to help nannies hold themselves to a high standard of moral and professional conduct.

As a nanny...

I will provide loving and nurturing care. I will be reliable, patient and attentive. I will keep the children from harm's way, both physically and emotionally. I will be a friend and mentor, helping the children find joy. I will help them develop intellectual curiosity and a sense of right and wrong. I will help them feel safe and loved. I will help them develop self-confidence. When I discipline, I will correct behavior with kindness. While watching the children, I will put their needs above my own.

I will reinforce the family's values while staying true to my own. I will be absolutely honest with my employers and will be considerate when using their home, car, phone and other resources. As a driver, I will obey all laws while maintaining the children's safety. In everything I do, I will conduct myself in such a way as to bring credit and respect to the childcare profession.
